Warranty Information

If we did your home, business or any job and you feel there is a warranty issue with labor or material.....call us no matter what, even if your time has expired on the warranty. Click here to see what exactly a labor warranty is

This is an area of that most contractors will tell you the following " oh yes....we will give you a 100 yr labor warranty" this is just their way of manipulating their way into your pocket, their way of trying to finalize a bid. The truth of the matter is choosing a company that you feel comfortable with, has been in business a while, has a reputation to answer the phone when and if there was a problem. If you are a roofer......I don't care who you are.....there will be an issue sooner or later. How the company responds to an issue is the whole deal. Below is a guide line that we follow, we are not a company that will run and hide if something was to happen.....besides, this is why I like to be on every job my company does.

First off, welcome to the warranty section of our site. This information is only for those who have had a project done and the warranty is expired. You will probably get your questions answered here and if not you can call us if you are still unsure about something. This page was designed to put things in perspective to all our customers. We just don't want a client to think we are running from responsibility and on the other hand we want our customers to know that we take matters seriously if and when they might occur. Please read all of the information before drawing a conclusion on anything you might read.

A warranty is just what it is....a warranty. In business there has always been and always will be a situation where someone will not be happy. It does not matter who you are, how you run your company and what you try to do to resolve it. Facts are most people want things done at the lowest price, best product and best service. We try to accommodate these 3 things and have been successful at it.

For example:

1. When you purchase a brand new car, it does not matter if the car cost $10,000.00 or $70,000.00, there is a warranty. Once that warranty is up if you take that car to the dealership, you will be charged.....no matter what.

Here is my Process: If you encounter a problem, please feel free to call me, I will respond no matter what. The issue will be....is it covered or not. We normally will discuss this over the phone before we come out so there is no surprises. This is normal in this business. I don't have a lot of experience in this issue because we do pay attention to doing a good job, but again no one is perfect.

Sometimes the issue can be as small as a little wind knocked a tree branch off and put a small crack in the shingle. Is this covered under us? No....but I know I would fix it and depending on the circumstances......I have done stuff for free for customers that refer us and continue to be customers. Every situation is different.....again........my company does not have a lot of experience in call backs......we try to do it right the first time.

Our Basic Warranty

As time goes on in this region we live in, it is a fact we have high winds, hail and just nasty weather in general. There is a difference between a labor warranty and a material warranty. When we finish a job, you are given the material warranty and it explains in detail your coverage. Our labor warranty is pretty simple. If anything is wrong with the roof because we didn't do something right, it is covered in your first 2 years of installment. Our basic warranty for most jobs is 2 yrs unless we signed a document telling you otherwise. We feel, if there is a labor issue......it will pop up within 2 years. After 2 years, it can be related to weather and unknown factors as age of chimneys and gutters (will explain below). We try to make sure all of our jobs are done by the manufactures request and feel like if there was to be a problem....it usually will be something no one could have helped. Below are a couple situations that we have run into in the past and don't mind being honest and upfront with you about.

Below are some common issues in this business we hear of...............not covered by a labor warranty,

1. Chimney leaks due to bad mortar. This one is probably the biggest one. When you put a new roof on a home, we did not replace your chimney. Sometimes we will notice a chimney has a lot of caulking on it or tar or paint. This leads us to believe the chimney has been cracked in the past or the old cement is soaking up water and causing a leak around the chimney. Cement, bricks, block, stucco and so on are all porous materials and in time they will soak up water and once they have soaked up enough water the water will eventually dissipate throughout the material causing a leak. On old chimneys, they do recommend sealing them with a clear silicone product. If there are cracks in the joints you must caulk them or repair with new mortar. This can also be applied to old stove or vent pipes. This is not a roof labor issue.

2. Ceiling / wall leak near the edge of the roof. This is normally caused by a clogged gutter. This is a problem because many people don't understand how important it is to keep your gutters cleaned. Many people do not know how easy it is for water and a little wind to find its way to the wall or ceiling of a home. If we do your roof, we always clean out the gutters....always, unless there are screens on them. When leaves build up, this causes a dam and water will back fill into the soffit area or behind the fascia board causing a leak near the wall and ceiling. This is not a roof labor issue.

3. We didn't build the house or the building. So if things happen to your structure because of something we had no control over, how could this be our fault? An example: If plywood shifts and / or buckles, it will cause a problem. 1. This is because of the age of the home or dwelling, 2. If the contractor used clips in between the plywood joints, 3. Did they use staples instead of nails? A lot of times we don't know that.....this is not a labor issue.

4. Ceiling cracks. Most of the time a contractor does not walk through the house checking every ceiling, every wall and so on. I know my company makes every effort to be as careful as we can. Thank god we have not ever faced this issue, but this is something that can be determined if needed.

In conclusion, everything we have outlined is factual. If you called anyone in contracting they would agree to this page. We just want to be honest and upfront and to educate our customers on our warranty. Thank you for reading this and I hope it was clear for your understanding.
