Selling the house

Just like all warranties, there is either a charge to transfer a warranty or a lot of paperwork to have it transferred. What we do is a little better than that. Our labor warranty is transferrable and the fee for roofs under 1 yr. is $150.00 with an inspection. This continues the coverage against all labor issues. Every roof we do, does not have the same labor warranty.....so you either got the basic or the best......why? because depending on the roof slope, roof design, shingle choice and location of house......we weigh all that in to see what kind of problem we might have to deal with. I did not design, nor did I make the material (shingle)......so If you choose a cheap 3 tab shingle and live on a hill top that has a high wind capabilities......your roof will be a problem.

Some home owners decline the high wind shingles and want to do things their way. So even though the shingles that blow off will not be a labor issue.....I will still get the phone call from someone to say " Hey Jim can you come out and take a look at my shingles, something is wrong". I, of course would be concerned and would eventually have wasted my time, gas and money......because it would not be a labor issue.

So I try to be as honest as I can, I try to tell home owners what I think they should do and I let them make the final choice......I do not like to give advise on colors though......no way.
