Hydro-stop can be considered roof maintenance, this allows this system to be put over 90% of current roof systems without having to remove the old one, saving the customer $$$$$. Though this system is a roof coating, it is the only coating of its kind. It has non woven material that bonds between 2 layers at the base coat and then there is 2 finish coats once the bas coats cure. The 2 finish coats are normally white but can be tinted any color you want. All roofs deteriorate with time, our system loses about a 1/2 a mil. per year, when installed you get a 40 - 45 mil system. So there is no doubt this system will last its said time. The system is the only system that has a renewable warranty after the 1st warranty is depleted. It is fully transferrable and is a totally green (environmentally speaking) roof. Most states are adopting article 24 that says all roof systems must comply with being a roof that has to be energy efficient and environmentally safe, also known as a cool roof. California is already there and Chicago IL. has adopted it back in the late 90's because of the loss of many elderly tenants in some apartment units during the heat wave and they found that the roofs were the cause for the extreme heat. In the summer metal roofing can reach over 170 degrees on the roof top, this heat is transferred right to the attic space. This system is guaranteed to be so cool you can walk on it and the system should get the temps to below 100 degrees, what a difference.
